It’s unfortunate when we hear of someone passing away.  There have been recent “celebrity” deaths this summer:

Meet The Press Host, Tim Russert died June 13th while he was on vacation in Italy with his family.  The cause of his death was a heart attack.

George Carlin, comedian passed at the age of 71 from heart failure.

The TV show How I met your Mother is apparently going to have Britney Spears making another appearance.

Word is out that Hugh Hef is releasing a book about his personal life and past experiences.  Supposedly there are some juicy secrets that everyone is dying to know.

When I find out when the book will be released my readers will be the first to know!

Westport lawn care here we come!

The reality of this summer is going to be a hectic and dramatic one. I was planning on laying out in the sun, enjoying some of my favorite reality TV shows, and sleeping in, but instead I find myself weeding my grandmother’s garden and pulling vine left and right off the side of her house and in her lawn. Now, I know it’s not right to complain… I mean she is 90 years old, but it’s still a pain in the butt. The one good thing is I find myself outdoors enjoying the nice weather. From pulling all of the vine out it left a bunch of roots in her lawn area. So I went to the local hardware store and purchased weed killer.

Personally, I’m not good at landscaping…I’m considering seeking out Connecticut Landscaping for my grandmother because the grass seed I threw down is not even starting to come up at all. And I’m sure if I did it wrong or I just need to be patient. I do know that everyday my grandmother complains about how your yard never looked like that before. My friends have recommended Weston lawn care, Monroe lawn care, Redding lawn care, and Stamford lawn among others that either friends or family have hired. All of the mentioned Connecticut lawn services provide a run through available at your convenience and advice to any questions that you may have.

I’m eager to see what results from this…

Are you waiting for New Reality TV shows?

I don’t know about you, but I’m waiting for all the new reality TV shows to come out! Although there is much controversy out there with Nick Hogan and his sentence in jail, Brooke Hogan’s new reality show is to air this July - “Brooke Knows Best.” I’m curious to see if that show was airing when Nick got in his accident? or when the Hogan’s Divorce scandal was made public?

Another show that has recently been airing previews is, “I Love Money.” From what it looks like VH1 has created a spin off from the “I Love New York” show. Past “celebrities” from other VH1 shows will compete for $250,000. There is no end relationship in sight the goal is strictly cash, which mean lots and lots of drama!

John and Kate Plus 8

If you have never heard the story about John and Kate Gosselin it is amazing! The two got married at very young ages and hoped to start a family soon after. After recognizing pregnancy for them would be difficult. They reached to fertility treatments and were blessed with twin girls. Kate madly wanted one more child, where John was hesitant at the time and wanted to wait a few years. Kate as persistent as she is got pregnant!…with six.

Currently, John and Kate live in Pennsylvania with their eight children. They have a show that is featured on TLC and I believe the new episodes air Monday nights. Personally I think the show is great, but I have heard others speak otherwise of it.

If you haven’t seen this great reality TV show I recommend it to anyone of all ages. It one of the only reality TV shows out there that depicts a family for exactly who they are.

The Moment Truth Questions Asked June 10, 2008

Hi everyone,

Tonight I was hooked on The Moment of Truth!  The first guy that aired on the show tonight seemed like a real loser to me, especially to his girlfriend.  He was asked questions about his religion and his job as an EMT.  Questions in similar context to what was asked were:

  • Have you ever been embarrassed of your mormon background? Answer: Yes/True
  • Do you think your parents dislike your girlfriend because of her religion? Answer: Yes/True
  • Do you think you can get any girl you want? Answer Yes/True
  • Do you think your girlfriend is the prettiest girl you’ve ever dated? Answer: No/True
  • Have you ever falsified a report (regarding your job as an EMT)? Yes/True
  • Have you ever touched a female patient more than what was necessary? No/True
  • Have you given your number to another female while dating your current girlfriend? Yes/True
  • and so on…

He ended up taking the money ($100,000) and walking away.

The following contestant, Kristina, was a volunteer fire fighter in addition to being a wife and a mother.  Her fate was walking away with nothing.  Her experience started off rough with a question in this regards: “Have you ever stolen something that you then gave to your children?” Answer: Yes/True

Other questions that I can remember off the top of my head were:

  • Have you ever stolen anything from a relatives house? Yes/True
  • Are you a volunteer fire fighter just because you like the attention from men other than your husband? Yes/True
  • Have you ever ignored your pager when there was a fire? Yes/True
  • Have you ever purposely caused a fire that damaged something? Yes/True
  • Did you ever cheat on your first aid test to get certified to become a volunteer fire fighter? Yes/True
  • Have you ever thought about leaving your husband because you thought he didn’t make enough money? No/True
  • Have you lost sexual attraction towards your husband? No/FALSE
  • (there were other questions that I can’t remember unfortunately)

Kristina lost everything when the red light flashed on the screen saying “FALSE.”  Personally, neither of the contestants that were on the show tonight deserved the money.  The first guy thought that he was all that and the second lady seemed very strange to even go on the show knowing what some of those questions could potentially be asked in front of the nation.

This is truly one of the best examples of how reality tv can go too far.

This weekend was a hot one!

This weekend was the hottest by far!  Three days in a row where it reached 100 degrees and today the high is suppose to be around 96.  It’s unbelievable and almost unbearable to be out in.  After a weekend like this Monroe lawn care and Fairfield lawn care, just to name a few are going to be extremely busy.  This heat dried everything out.

Oh by the way…did anyone catch that new show with Regis last night?  Tony Hawk and Rosie were the celebrity guests.  The idea of the show is similar to the old password show that sometimes is aired on Nick at Nite.  I watched it for about two rounds and then I turned it off because i’m not that big of a fan of Rosie.  Personally I find her highly irritating.

Speaking of irritating…as I had mentioned today’s expected high of 96 will dry out.  Redding lawn care, Weston lawn care, and Westport lawn care are all available for personal walk throughs.  This is if you would like suggestions on how to make your lawn alive and appealing again!  If the summer is going to continually be this hot and muggy everyone’s lawn (not only yours) will need some assistance.  Connecticut landscaping here we come!

Tony Romo still with Jessica Simpson?

I was watching the Chelsea Lately show the other night and she was talking about celebrities.  If you haven’t heard her talk about celebrities you must!!  She was saying that Tony broke it off with Jessica and Jessica’s dad called Tony and asked him to go back with her.  And supposedly he said that he would go back to her if Joe Simpson would but out of their relationship.

Also on the show they were talking about Brittany Spears.  Brittany Spears’s dad wants her to go back with Kevin?  I don’t know how true that is, but I never thought that I would be hearing that.  I can remember when Kevin and Brittany started dating and everyone knew what would come of that relationship, but I don’t think anyone knew how bad it would actually end up.

I did see a picture in a gossip magazine, which by the way are almost as good as watching reality TV…a picture of Brittany Spears leaving her vocalist.  I think that is a good sign at least….at least she is trying to get better.

The Moment of Truth Questions?

Filed under: The Moment of Truth — aey112 @ 12:36 pm

Hi everyone….I just want to apologize to everyone who is looking for The Moment of Truth questions and wanting to find out what happened.  I have to be honest and I thought that show was over.  I haven’t been hearing about any news.  The last news that I heard about the show was when that woman who cheated on her husband who was a cop - and it looked like they were going to get a divorce.

I did read that particular couple is still married and that the show didn’t stop them from living their lives.  It’s good to see that the show doesn’t break everyone up.

Watching too Much?

Ok…do you ever get so into an episode of reality television and your eyes hurt?  Sometimes mine do….last week I was doing a puzzle and normally i would do it on a big piece of cardboard and sit on the floor so I can watch TV at the same time, but now that I have a puppy it’s hard to do about anything on the floor.  So I found something that was sooo cool, a TV/Computer Screen Magnifier.  This thing is able to fit over your computer and tv!  I’m gonna try it out and I’ll let you know how it works!  Wish me luck!

Reality TV stars show off what they have – let’s show off what we have!

Everyone knows about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s marriage – well two marriages. Likewise with Halle Berry making the 100 Most Beautiful People for the 12th time, Nick Hogan’s brush with the law, Yves Saint Laurent dying, etc. On top of interfering with celebs personal lives they are no better and show off their million and billion dollar homes. Apparently Frankie Muniz is getting out of the show biz light and becoming a professional race car driver. He is so serious about his dream of becoming a race car driver that he is even selling his spectacular home for a couple million dollars if I remember correctly.

I haven’t seen the show in a while, but I used to watch it all the time, Cribs on MTV. I couldn’t believe some of the “toys” that the celebrities today have, some reality TV stars even, not just professional sports players and movie actors. One episode was even about Bill Gates! The house that I was most impressed with was Richard Branson’s. His estate was secluded on its own island, which meant that he had to bring everything himself. The one part of his home was his landscaping. He had so many tropical plants and shrubs. It was all picturesque and an ideal location. Well, ideal if you can afford it.

Whether you want a large overdrawn landscape or simply a well kept lawn to walk around on the result will be a great summer. So let me take a wild guess, these were the questions I was asking myself before I contacted Bethel lawn care, Southport lawn care, Fairfield lawn care, and Easton lawn and figure all of you are asking yourself the same questions…who can help me and where can I find respectable and reliable Connecticut landscaping?… to help me with:

  • making it greener

  • getting rid of the weed
  • eliminating patches
  • making the grass appear thicker

Last weekend a friend of mine went golfing with his brother at a course that is known for having a “rough” course. When I mean rough I don’t mean the difficulty level of the course itself, I mean the fairway. This golf course in particular has an extreme amount of popularity and the result is careless people who leave divots, etc and don’t put the grass back in the patch. Anyways, my friend was telling me that the owners of the course must have hired someone to do the landscaping because the grass was nicer than ever. He said he hadn’t seen such a well taken care of course since he had Ridgefield lawn care and Redding lawn care simultaneously tend his lawn a couple years back.

I did get helpful lawn care advice from Monroe lawn care about watering my lawn. One of the workers did mention to me that one of my problems could have been that I was “drowning” my lawn. Over-watering can lead to problems, just as not enough water. Another tip was leaving debris on the grass can kill what’s underneath. About ten years ago my sister had a baby pool shaped like turtle out in the back yard and it sat there all summer leaving a brown circle of dead grass. Without any attention from a professional landscaping company the grass never recovered back to it’s original green shade. I hear that if there is a patch in your yard and you want to do it yourself and you just have to keep up with watering it the perfect amount. I’m no expert, but I would imagine that the amount of water you are suppose to give your grass depends on the type of weather it is that day? Would you think the hotter it is out the quicker it dries up, hence more water?

If anyone has any comments or answers to any of my random questions feel free…I’m always here!
