The Moment Truth Questions Asked June 10, 2008
Hi everyone,
Tonight I was hooked on The Moment of Truth! The first guy that aired on the show tonight seemed like a real loser to me, especially to his girlfriend. He was asked questions about his religion and his job as an EMT. Questions in similar context to what was asked were:
- Have you ever been embarrassed of your mormon background? Answer: Yes/True
- Do you think your parents dislike your girlfriend because of her religion? Answer: Yes/True
- Do you think you can get any girl you want? Answer Yes/True
- Do you think your girlfriend is the prettiest girl you’ve ever dated? Answer: No/True
- Have you ever falsified a report (regarding your job as an EMT)? Yes/True
- Have you ever touched a female patient more than what was necessary? No/True
- Have you given your number to another female while dating your current girlfriend? Yes/True
- and so on…
He ended up taking the money ($100,000) and walking away.
The following contestant, Kristina, was a volunteer fire fighter in addition to being a wife and a mother. Her fate was walking away with nothing. Her experience started off rough with a question in this regards: “Have you ever stolen something that you then gave to your children?” Answer: Yes/True
Other questions that I can remember off the top of my head were:
- Have you ever stolen anything from a relatives house? Yes/True
- Are you a volunteer fire fighter just because you like the attention from men other than your husband? Yes/True
- Have you ever ignored your pager when there was a fire? Yes/True
- Have you ever purposely caused a fire that damaged something? Yes/True
- Did you ever cheat on your first aid test to get certified to become a volunteer fire fighter? Yes/True
- Have you ever thought about leaving your husband because you thought he didn’t make enough money? No/True
- Have you lost sexual attraction towards your husband? No/FALSE
- (there were other questions that I can’t remember unfortunately)
Kristina lost everything when the red light flashed on the screen saying “FALSE.” Personally, neither of the contestants that were on the show tonight deserved the money. The first guy thought that he was all that and the second lady seemed very strange to even go on the show knowing what some of those questions could potentially be asked in front of the nation.
This is truly one of the best examples of how reality tv can go too far.

Another great ‘moment of truth’
