What’s in a Name?
Recent studies have shown that boys with unpopular names are more likely to commit crimes. The study was completed by two males from Shippensburg University (PA). They compiled a list of all the first names of juvenile delinquents and compared them to a list of the first names of all males in the population and constructed popularity-name index (PNI).
It was discovered that names with a low PNI were more likely to break the law than more common names.
