The Biggest Loser Season 7 – March 24, 2009

Last week Cathy was eliminated, she sacrificed herself for her daughter, and for Aubrey. This is definitely hard for Kristin, but Kristin also knows that any day can be her last, and that lights a fire under her.

The players meet Alison in the gym, and everyone’s colored shirts are dressed on mannequins. Alison reminds the players that twelve (12) weeks ago they came to this campus to make a change, and were not only fighting for themselves, they were fighting for their team…but not any more. As of right now it is back to singles, everyone got their individual colors back, and everyone was excited. Can you believe, Mike has lost 118 pounds…it is truly amazing.

Alison reminds us, there is one other person you can count on…your training. Now you have a big choice to make…who do you want to be your trainer. Bob or Jillian? You have a half hour to decide. Jillian says, “I actually think this was a cruel decision…”

Tara picks Jillian; Mike picks Jillian…with a flip of a coin, and Bob was kinda hurt; Helen picks Jillian; Kristin picks Bob; Filipe picks Bob; Siona picks Bob…reminded of when Bob told him, “be the man your family thinks you are”; Ron picks Bob; Laura picks Jillian; Aubrey picks Bob. Alison words of wisdom “Do what you need to do for YOU!”

Now it is workout time and this is a huge week for many players…those women that can be the first women to lose 100 pounds on campus.

Challenge time, part one of this weeks challenge is to take your blocks of weight and distribute among your players, and the prize is immunity, but we don’t know what will happen in part two of the challenge.

Everyone starts ganging up on Tara, and putting all their weight on Tara’s scale. Tara get’s upset, “Alright Aubrey, shut your mouth,” and adds, “Aubrey’s a loudmouth, has always been a loudmouth and doesn’t know when to shut the F#!% up.” Aubrey goes over to talk to Tara, but Tara really does not want to talk…seriously she just wants to be alone. Her friend Laura goes out to talk to her. Tara threatens to throw the next weigh-in. Laura tries to encourage Tara to not give up, and reminds Tara how she wanted to quit before, but is so glad that she stayed and fought.

Tara has pushed Laura, and now Laura is going to be the strong one for Tara. Laura reminds Tara that you are here for Tara, not anyone else. The question is, did Laura give Tara the motivation to push herself through another week?

Part two of the challenge, and all we see are race cars…well beat up race cars that certainly will not be driving around the track…at least not like this car coming around the track…and here comes Clint Boyer – Nascar driver winner of 2008 Nascar series who offers an inspirational story.

The challenge is to pull your race car (weighing over 2 Ton plus the weight that was added to your car by the other players) nearly half a mile to the finish line. An extra bonus to the winner from Clint Boyer…the winner will be the biggest VIP guest at Nascar event in California in October.

OMG such a close race, and despite the fact that Tara has an extra 257 pounds; she is passing out everyone…fighting for first place. Maybe no one should have pissed her off…as Tara wins immunity! How freakin cool…plus she gets ride around the track in an awesome Cheerios Corvette with Nascar racer, Clint Boyer. More than anything, Tara is excited to tell Jillian how she succeeded. Jillian tells Tara, “my heart is bursting for you, stick is too them.”

Let’s get to the last chance workout…Helen knows she has a target on her back, and Jillian is pushing her. Even though Tara has immunity, she knows this is her week to hit the 100 pounds lost target…all she has to lose is 4 pounds, but that is all that Kristin has to lose too.

Now it is time to weigh in. Two people with the lowest percentage of weight loss will fall below the yellow line. Tara weighs in first since she has immunity. Unfortunately, she does not hit the 100-pound mark…losing 3 pounds this week; Tara has lost a total of 99 pounds since her time on the ranch.

Kristin gets on the scale, and loses 8 pounds. She started on the biggest loser campus at 360 pounds, and today she weighs in at 255 pounds…being the first woman to lose over 100 pounds on the biggest loser campus…she has just made history.

Aubrey and Filipe fall below the yellow line…who will be eliminated?

Sione pleads for Filipe to stay; Kristin contemplates…should it be a decision from the heart or from the mind?

Aubrey is eliminated at week 12, and is not The Biggest Loser. Aubrey started at the ranch weighing 249, now she weighs 191 pounds at her departure. In a recap, after Audrey was home for 3 weeks, she has already gained 9 pounds. Audrey did not want to fall into the same routine again, and realized ultimately you have to worry about yourself, and make time for you.

Next week on The Biggest Loser the eliminated players come back for a second chance; and does Ron have to cut his journey short?

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – February 17, 2009

Another week on The Biggest Loser Ranch, and another pop-challenge…Allie surprises the players on their way to the gym.

Here’s the deal, there are going to be 2 keys to the gym, so 2 teams will have gym privileges, the rest will have to burn their calories with mother nature. The Challenge: Run up the mountain, grab 1 key, run back down and try to open 1 of the 2 locks. (This season’s players really surprised me. In previous seasons all the players were out for themselves, but Season 7 is different…this challenge in particular, everyone was helping Ron, and you can see that everyone cares about each other…this is a testament to how good all of the people that are here are.)

Some people started the challenge at a sprint, others were more just taking it easy…like Pink team member Shannon. Tara and Filipe were hauling butt, as Tara literally pushed herself to the point of puking (I think Tara was working so hard because she is so afraid of going home, and fears that Tara can’t pull her weight). I thought for sure that one of them would get the key, but it wasn’t about who got the most keys, it was all about picking the right key, and the Pink team (Helen & Shannon) & Brown team (Ron & Mike) won.

When Jillian found out about what happen at the challenge, she was less than excited about working outdoors. On a more surprising note, Dane was still here, and Jillian was shocked because Bob told all of his team members to send Dane home. Like I said Season 7’s players are different…the first teams with hearts. The problem is that whether or not they are playing the game, the game is being played. Bob was pissed because Dane is a bigger threat…Bob’s attitude is take my advice or maybe let the other team win.

Since Jillian would do anything to avoid a workout in the sweltering outdoors, she decided to build their own home gym in the ranch. Jillian had all kinds of moves up her sleeves, and pulled out some old school moves we would have seen Jane Fonda doing…but they worked then, they will work now. All along Jillian was riding Tara’s ass in the workout this week, and Tara just wanted a break to breakdown…since the pressure was on to perform, for her and maybe her teammate again.

So Pink team took to the gym gloating their “privileged membership’ but I wonder if they are using the gym to the best of their abilities. First off they were not so motivated to move fast, and they strolled at probably a 3 on the treadmills, and later turned Jillian’s side of the gym into a lounge.

Outside Bob gets creative with his teams workout, and uses lawn benches to do step ups, and lawn chairs were used to do chest presses…if you can’t afford a gym membership, don’t let that stop you. Bob pulled out this other neat at home system called the TRX System, basically a gym in a bag that he hooked to a tree for the players to use to workout on…it was really a neat looking, and user friendly device.

As with any player that comes to the ranch, they often find enlightenment. This week Kristen finds hers…”I feel so powerful, how could I be so ignorant, how could I ignore the fact of what I was doing to myself. What I think hurt the most, is that this was in me all along…you can do it, it is inside of you too.” Some people just need that affirmation, and for Kristen this is going to keep her going.

I think this week was more stressful for everyone, just not having the gym, and the competition is getting more intense, so to blow off some steam, Kristin, Mike, Tara, and Filipe decided to have some fun in the mud…good stress free time.

Back to reality…it was challenge time. The Challenge: Each player sits at a rowing machine, both players of each team have to remain in the green (high performance) and the winner gets immunity. It came down to the Green Team (Tara & Laura) and Black Team (Dane)…Dane won the challenge, and immunity.

Last chance workout…Bob sits down with Ron to talk about Ron’s knee problems, and what exercises they are going to do to keep working with Ron to lose weight. Bob leaves Ron at the ranch to workout in the pool all day, while he takes the rest of the team to the beach.

Jillian’s last chance workout is a mix of boxing, running, 80’s workout moves, and exercises in the pool…sounds like fun, but it was hard work as the players ached like they did the first week at the ranch.

Weigh-in time: Dane is lucky to have immunity since he only lost 4 lbs. Laura pulled through for Tara, and actually lost more weight then her this week…you could see the relief on Tara’s face. Kristin finally got out of the 300’s and she was ecstatic. This week the players showed that you can lose weight without a gym, and having a gym to use was not an advantage, as the Pink Team (Helen & Shannon) fell below the yellow line.

Helen talks to everyone and asked that Shannon get sent home…I automatically wondered will they play the game or not? I mean for Jillian’s team they would want to send Shannon home because she was a bigger threat, but I don’t think Bob would be too happy with Helen if Shannon gets sent home.

So the decisions are made, and Shannon is sent home. I can’t wait for next week to see if Bob is going to be pissed…I think we need one more slip out from Bob this season.

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – February 10, 2009

After two week below the yellow line, the brown team has to face the reality that one more week below, and it is very likely that they will be sent home. For this reason, Bob made it a priority to sit down with Mike & Ron. The reality…these guys are burning 10,000 calories a day, so they need to fuel their body with lots of complex carbohydrates…if you eat less, you lose less weight when it comes to working out as hard as these contestants, eating right is just as important as exercising right.

Alison starts off the week with a “pop-challenge”, stand with one foot on a block for as long as you can…it is harder than it looks, but the prize was so good…a visit with a loved one for 24 hrs ON THE RANCH. Mandi wanted to see her husband, and she literally begged for the last 3 contestants to bow out gracefully so she could win. We get it, you want to purse, but when Jillian heard about the win, she was less than excited about the whole thing…afraid that Mandi’s husbands visit might mess up all that Jillian has accomplished with Mandi over the last weeks. Mandi’s husband was less than supportive about Mandi coming on the show to begin with…so everyone could understand Jillian’s apprehensions.

It was a chilly (30 something degrees) night, starting the challenge for immunity at 8pm…teamwork & endurance were a must, as players and their partners had to hold a bar in the air for as long as possible. Over 4 hours into the challenge (after midnight) and two teams remained, green and purple…both teams were getting tired and were literally freezing, but the purple team held out, and won the challenge (I really think Tara had it in her to go all night, but her partner, Laura is truly the weaker link).

Mandi’s “pop-challenge” win comes true, as she walks in her room to find her husband, Rusty, waiting for her…and a little surprise at the door when she gets a knock from her two boys…she was ecstatic, and her husband was more than happy with how great Mandi is starting to look. Mandi treated her family to “a day on the ranch” from a contestants perspective, and Rusty admitted that it was really hard work, and noted how proud he was of Mandi, and that he wanted her to keep on working hard.

Bob’s team got a lot of on-air attention this week, as they highlighted Bob’s yoga routine…showing that concentration, relaxation, and finding peace are key to the biggest loser experience. This hits close to home with Kathy, as she talks about how much this has helped her in staying positive in her addiction recovery. Bob’s team is working it hard this week, as they hike 5 miles to eat at a Subway, but wait…get a snack, let’s walk another 2 miles before we eat. Again, Bob give attention to eating complex carbohydrates, and focuses on the brown teams eating habits…as Ron is still afraid of carbs.

Last chance workouts…this week really showed us how long and hard these players are working out…from 9am to 9pm they are still in the gym, and most contestants are not surprised to find their teammates in there at 5am…no wonder they are burning 10,000 calories a day…which is equivalent to about 2.8 lbs burned per day…this is how these contestants are dropping 13 pounds a week.

Weigh ins are an emotional roller coaster for all of us, but to these players… it is a one chance moment, where they get to stay or have to go home. This week, only one player on one team will be sent home…meaning partners will be divided. The black team fell below the yellow line this week, and Blaine pleaded to be sent home, so Dane could stay. Blaine got his wish, as he was voted off The Biggest Loser, but in recap he is making great progress at home, has lost 86 lbs, and plans on completing an Ironman Triathlon before he returns for the finale.

So yes, the brown team has made it another week, but will the stress on Mike of pulling the weight for him and his dad be too much? Can’t wait for next week.

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – February 3, 2009

While it might seem like I am cheering I am actually sad, not that Joelle was kicked off, but rather because Joelle was so selfish from the beginning, and did not give Carla the opportunity to be on the ranch.

How the week got started…Jillian was upset to see the Orange Team (Dan & Dave) gone, but she knows how Bob’s team sticks together…another season of Jillian’s team fighting the larger numbers in the elimination room.

Getting down to business…the at-home players weigh in. The reality is that you can not lose at much weight at home as on the ranch…but you can lose weight, and EXCUSES ARE NOT THE ANSWER…THEY ARE THE REASON YOU ARE OVERWEIGHT. Carla and Sione showed that it can be done…Carla lost 20lbs at home, and Sione lost 25lbs at home…I was impressed.

Another challenge with choices ($5,000 or a 2lbs advantage)…guess who sees $$$ (Joelle)…but this challenge was not about money, not even about winning, it was about working as a team…Mandi & Aubrey showed everyone how it was done.

While all the at-home players were adjusting to being back at the ranch, for some reason I guess Joelle though this was her week to relax…Bob couldn’t help but point out that what you put in at the gym is what you get on the scale…if you give zero you get zero…enough said. Bob focused on strengthening the others on his team…and gave Shanon a workout…with Sione on her back…Helen was impressed at how strong Shanon really was.

Jillian’s team knew they had to work extra hard, and it paid off at the weigh in. No one from Jillian’s team fell below the yellow line this week, which means…Bob’s teamsters – Mike & Ron, and Carla & Joelle were below the yellow line. I guess they just had to do it…Carla & Joelle got eliminated. Everyone wishes their best to Carla with lots of love and hugs, while Joelle stands alone, and walks out of the gym without a single goodbye.

I think Shanon said it best, “when Joelle opens her mouth, it’s like she is on another planet.” I really think that Joelle is oblivious to her actions (at times) but I think she spitefully brought Carla back and then did nothing…just to say I did was I was going to do…I brought you back.

Where are they now recap…Carla hoping to restore their friendship, and Joelle says, NO, we are not friends…I was shocked

Joelle is selfish, and Carla was cheated out. Joelle lost 57lbs and Carla lost 87 lbs.

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – January 27, 2009

I think Bob’s Team was in shock that Joelle was still on campus…but now they just have to work harder to stay above that yellow line.

Now while all the contestants (well maybe not Joelle) loves to be on campus, Blaine was really wanting to be at home to see his wife give birth to their fourth child…Alison surprised Blaine with the opportunity to go home…Blaine got to see the new addition of his family, a son, come into this world…an added motivator for Blaine to become healthy.

In honor of it being Super Bowl Week at The Ranch, Alison gathered all the players to have a healthy tailgate party with the help of Chef Curtis Stone. I smell a contest grilling…each contestant had to decide how many calories were in each plate of food…the winner got to send Curtis to their at-home teammate to learn how to cook healthy. Daniel won the contest, and was able to send Curtis to North Carolina to visit David. A secondary prize…Daniel got a free two-pound pass at the next weigh in.

I think David really needed this prize…as we all saw over the past weeks at home, David was still patronizing his favorite buffet, and continuing his unhealthy eating lifestyle. After Curtis’ arrival in North Carolina he helped David, from grocery shopping, down to preparing the food…David found out how easy & tasty healthy food can be to prepare and eat.

Following the Super Bowl theme, contestants faced off on the field with the help of NFL MVP Kurt Warner…the prize was immunity…it came down to Helen and Joelle, but Helen picked up her game to ensure that her daughter, Shanon would be returning to the ranch.

The workouts this week seemed smooth for almost everyone, even Joelle was giving it her all…but Daniel had it hard…and fears were setting in, but Daniel was able to achieve great things when he ran for 5 minutes straight at 5mph…Jillian’s team cheered him on to a personal victory!

One of the most important weigh-ins…this single weigh-in determined what teammates would be returning to the ranch. Another surprise came, as the at-home teammates entered the gym prior to weigh-in, but one of the would not be here for long.

The numbers were in…this week just sucked…really…two of the youngest players (Mike & Daniel) were both below the yellow line with their teammates. I really felt so bad for Daniel because his partner, David, was not motivated to be at the ranch, and was content in eating himself to death. In the back of my mind I am wishing that Daniel & Carla were partners…two of the largest contestants on the biggest loser who really wanted to lose weight.

It was sad, but I knew that Daniel was going to be going home…I wish more people voting had the mentality that Tara did…she was pissed at Dave…doesn’t he realize that 250,000 people tried out to be here, and Daniel needs this, David needs this, and Tara wants him to be here…David just doesn’t get it, but Tara wanted to make him get it…the experience is amazing.

To recap, Daniel lost 60lbs in 4 weeks, was able to stop taking his oral diabetes medicine, and at the point others were leaving the ranch, he had already lost 101lbs…maybe we will see a new record for The Biggest Loser. David only lost 46 lbs, and kick smoking.

Week 3 of The Biggest Loser…Are you for REAL? I can’t believe what happens…man I really love Reality TV!

It starts out rough without Jerry there, and everyone wishing that Joelle was below the yellow line last week. Everyone is connecting, while Joelle has become an outcast.

The contestants face another temptation…whoever eats the most calories gets to go home and train with their partner, and their trainer. Each contestant is alone in a room for 5 minutes with thousands of calories of food…to make it more interesting Alison tells the players at the Ranch that their teammate at home has been faced with the same challenge. There was only one contestant at The Ranch, Mandi, that ate one slice of pizza in a time of weakness, because she wanted to go home to see her kids. Next they show the tapes from home, and what their partners did… There were two at-home contestants that ate any food…Sione, Filipe’s partner ate 2 slices of pizza (outweighing Mandi’s one)…then Carla comes up on the screen, her plate filled with food (cupcakes, pizza, donuts)…I almost died, she ate over 2,000 calories, and won the temptation…Bob & Joelle were leaving The Ranch for Detroit. The first thing that came to my mind was thinking of Bob having to deal with Joelle alone after The Biggest Loser Bob blow up last week.

Bob seemed not so excited for Detroit, but I think he was looking forward to filling Carla in on Joelle’s half-hearted efforts at The Ranch. Bob makes it to Detroit, and gets Joelle & Carla in the gym…hard to be productive when both of the women were fighting. Carla wanted Joelle to understand that it wasn’t all about her, it’s about the both of them…Joelle had words to say back, but nothing of meaning…you can tell that Joelle’s heart is still not in this. After all the fighting, I think some progress was made…Bob recaps with the ladies at dinner.

Back at The Ranch, Dr. H meets with some of the players to review their medical status, and medication regimen. Blaine who is only 28 years old was on at least 8 different medications for diabetes, high cholesterol…Ron was taking double the medication of Blaine, and was spending $20,000 (yes, twenty thousand dollars) a year on medication. To put it it perspective, if Ron managed to live to be 66 years old, he would have spent a quarter of a million dollars on medication…if it wasn’t for the biggest loser. Now both these players, Ron & Blaine have eliminated almost all of their medications from their daily regimens. Heart care for these guys no longer requires a dependence on pills…it is just healthy exercise, and heart healthy eating.

Now it’s challenge time…whoever can jump for the longest over a swinging beam wins immunity…Kristin & Tara lasted for over two hours at the challenge, but in the end Tara won immunity again.

Bob is back at the gym for last chance workouts…you better believe he was ready to kick some butt after his time with Carla & Joelle. Bob wanted to make sure the rest of his team got the attention they needed…Bob really put a lot of effort into helping Mike this workout, and it paid off at weigh-in.

It was time to weigh in…Blaine, Ron, & Mike still turning out big numbers…Daniel weighs in, and is excited to see a 15 lbs loss on the scale. In the end, Joelle & Damien were below the yellow line…I thought it was a no brainer on who was going to get eliminated. The first 4 votes were to eliminate Joelle, then the tables turn…4 people vote to eliminate Damien…a tie. In the event of a tie, the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss gets eliminated, unfortunately that was Damien. The player that kept Joelle, thought about who needed the experience more and who would be more successful at home.

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – January 13, 2009

The show starts off with the recap of the 9 players who will be staying on the Ranch to bring their partners back…highlighting their determination and care for their partner. It is funny because everyone says something about their partner except Joelle…it is all about her, “she is her competition”…i couldn’t help but laugh, and feel bad for Carla.

The contestants are faced with their first temptation…to go home for $25,000. Joelle was really seriously considering this while the other players had no interest at all. As Joelle considers, one player screams, “cash can’t buy your life back.” Very true, but I think Daniel said it best, “if you wanna win money, go on a game show…none of us our here to play with our lives, if any of us are, go home.”

I already can’t stand Joelle, and we are not even an hour into the second episode. She really pissed me off…first off Carla should have stayed because she had more weight to lose…Carla was the biggest woman to ever be on The Biggest Loser. Secondly, Joelle hates to workout, and she is not even thinking about her partner…Joelle is really so fake…at least that is what I get from her. On top of it all, Joelle is a grown woman and lives with her mom, she is 41 years old…although, it really doesn’t surprise, and just tells you that she has not reach any goals in her life, nor has she really tried.

Then there was the challenge…peddle boating from a boat to land, and then hiking up a mountain. Tara won immunity, and a call home…in addition Helen, Blaine, and Mandi got calls home too. Tara was extra generous, and gave her call to Filipe so he could call his family…Tara is a sweetheart, and I think she has a good chance of going far. Daniel got a 1 lb penalty.

In watching the show, we see the contestants working out once or twice, but the reality of it is that these players are working out 6-8 hours a day, or more…they are in the gym everyday. While most of us do not have 8 hours out of the day to work out, it is still possible to find time (even 20 minutes) to exercise our bodies. Even though I was complete exhausted after work & meetings all day, I got on my treadmill at 11pm and worked out for 1 hour at 10% incline, as I watched The Biggest Loser. (I DVR it, and fast forward through commercials)

Last chance workout…OMG, Bob seriously freaked out. The other contestants couldn’t breath, were throwing up, and then there was Joelle, continuing to “fake it til she makes it”, the reality of it was that everyone knew she was not dedicated. Joelle could not even run on the treadmill for 30 seconds as everyone else did…she kept jumping off…and that is when Bob freaked. Joelle wouldn’t shut up…a bunch of talk, and not action. I think Bob said it best, “shut the f**k up“. At this point I think everyone was hoping that Joelle would get sent home.

Now it came down to the Weigh In…Blanie & Dane lost 30 lbs, Mike & Ron lost 14 lbs, some people were turning out some big numbers, but then we got to Jerry…I think tears came to everyone’s eyes as Jerry got up on the scale (even Alison was crying) and only lost 1 lb. Jerry worked out so harder, he was walking 10-12 miles per day, and on the recumbent bike peddling for hours…it just wasn’t his week.

Joelle & Jerry were both below the yellow line, and only Daniel was left to weigh in, with his 1 lb penalty…all Daniel had to do was lose more than 3 lbs. All I could think is that this would be so easy for everyone to decide between Joelle and Jerry…everyone would send Joelle home. Then Daniel weighs in and loses 3 lbs…OMG Jerry and Daniel are below the yellow line, and that bitch gets to stay. In the end, Jerry get’s sent home…it was so sad…Jerry touched so many hearts in just 2 weeks. In the recap, it is nice to know that after Jerry went home he still was able to lose a total of 84 lbs before the finale.

The Biggest Loser Season 7 – January 6, 2009

The Biggest Loser is back in 2009 with some of the biggest, oldest, and even youngest players ever to come to The Ranch.

The younger player, Mike, weighing in at 387 lbs. came on the biggest loser with his father Ron. Ron has battled with being overweight his entire life, even after undergoing weight loss surgery.

The biggest male player, Daniel, is only 19 years old, and weighs a astonishing 454 lbs, and he is only 5′8″. The largest female player, Carla, comes in weighing 379 lbs…Bob and Jillian are shocked…knowing that in previously years that Nora’s weight, was the weight of some of their larger male contestants. Bob and Jillian really have their work cut out for them.

Jerry, and his wife Estella, at age 63, are the older players ever to come on to the biggest loser, and the reality of dying from obesity really hits the other players as Jerry goes down in his first workout. Jerry is taken in an ambulance after just working out with resistance bands for a few minutes…he literally collapsed as an off-set worker noticed that he was not well and comes on-set to assist him.

The show had to go on, Bob and Jillian picked their first teams and then after that, their chosen contestants picked two more players and so on until all the teams were formed.

The first half of the episode was off to a bumpy start, but before you knew it the contestants were met with their first challenge…to cross a bridge (with their partner) and climb over a huge sand mound, and then race back to the other side, some players had a lot of difficulty…after 3 rounds it was a close race between the Yellow Team (Mandy & Aubrey) and the Black Team (Blaine & Dane), but the Black Team took the lead and won by a foot…literally. The Black Team won immunity in the first weigh in…they had no idea how much that was worth then.

After the challenge, all 22 players were back at The Ranch, and working it hard in their first workout, and their ‘last chance workout’ for the first week. Jillian can’t help but remind player to stay hydrated…it really is key to keeping your metabolism revving.

Finally we are at the weight-in, and…

I have just finished putting in 75 minutes on my treadmill… I personally love watching The Biggest Loser, but I can’t do it sitting on my ass, so I take my quality TV time, and multi-task by working out…and this time I managed to burn 487 calories…not bad.

This is were Alison Sweeney (biggest loser host) has a surprise…”no one is getting eliminated this week”…everyone was so excited, but those of us that know the show…knows there is a catch. So, no one is getting eliminated, but 9 players will be getting sent home…on the first show, I was totally shocked.

So Blaine & Dane had immunity, and after each team weighed in, it was the last team to weight in (Mike & Ron) that lost the largest percentage of weight, a total of 54 lbs lost in the first week. Ever other team needed to decide one player from their team that would be going home. Here’s the deal…which ever players still are on The Ranch after 30 days…these are the players that can be reunited with their partners. So the contestants being sent home are still going to have to continue the challenge from home…
