All over the tv the past week all I hear is about the polygamist compound. I don’t know too much about it, but from what I do I have seen on TV. Apparently at least 400 children were taken away from a Texas Compound, after a girl had phoned the police that she had been abused and admitted that children as young as 14 were and are forced into marriage with older men and become pregnant.
I was watching it last night and they were talking with some women who refused to tell the interviewers their last name. Another question asked to the some of the women were, “how old were you when you got married?” The women refused to answer. And they claimed that no children are abused there. When I heard that children were being forced to marry I was disgusted and then when I heard that it was hundreds of children allegedly being abused I was sick to my stomach. On Nancy Grace, streaming across the bottom was something like “one man had up to 22 wives.” Who needs 22 wives? Who needs two wives?
The site I saw was something similar to the television show Little House on the Prairie. All the women wore long dresses down to their ankles and had long braided hair. They new nothing outside of the “camp.” From what it sounded like they were oblivious to anything happening in the “real” world. The world to them was the compound.
I hope that whoever did this and is responsible for this disgusting act gets arrested and the women are all taken into good care because no ONE deserves to be “trapped” and forced into anything they don’t want to do. Especially being practically locked up in a compound when one has the entire world at their fingertips.

Has anyone ever heard of getting a gift card to a landscaping company for their birthday before? It was my 21st birthday on Monday and it is a day and night I will always remember. I had classes during the day, but after I went to dinner with my family and then went out with my friends.
When I was having dinner with my family, it was me, my mom, dad, sister, and grandmother. Now my grandmother who is 90 means well I know that, but I was kinda surprised when she gave me a giftcard for Monroe Lawn Care and told me I am in desperate need for Connecticut Landscaping. She said that she knows how much time I like to spend outside in my yard and knows I have a brand new baby pug that loves playing outside and wants me to have the nicest lawn.
Out of all the gifts that I got I felt like this one was the most thought out and she really was doing something nice. I can’t wait to see the results. I know I will love the lawn care as much as my puppy will. My friend who lives in Westport told me that she called, Westport Lawn Care and they are coming to her house in two weeks to check out the damage that winter has done on her lawn.

I wish I knew why it is so easy to become addicted to reality TV. Being addicted to reality TV is one thing, but we all have to face the real reality of keeping up with our homes. And when I mean keeping up with our homes — I mean cleaning. Soon the dreaded mowing of the lawn will be another task to worry about. Personally, mowing the lawn or doing anything with the lawn is not a fun experience. I would rather hang out with friends, watch reality TV, do anything else. Most can agree to that.
It’s that time of the year when it seems like everything is piling up. Whether it’s your work, school, children, family, etc. There is so much to do and not enough time. As much stress as it is coming into the summer I am so thankful for all that Teed & Brown Lawn Care did last summer for me.
